Oh yeah, so I finished the reading and my reaction was:

WTH?! Is that what FBI & NYPD do all this while?

I never know that they are such a great stalker.

Come on Americans, I know 911 was a huge pain for you guys.

Feel like I never have a real student life before.
Honestly, I never that study so serious like this before.

Kelley School of Business is pushing me hard. Way harder than you can imagine.
Stay at school for 12 hours is just so not me.
I used to sleep a lot but no more.
I used to spend much time in online-ing but not now.
I used to eat icecream to keep my mood balance but not anymore.

I am racing with time everyday.
Besides of classes, I have exams to score, projects to due,discussion to attend and club's activities to participate.
They keep me busy all the time.
What A NERD Life I Have.
I don't even have time to emo. That's kind of waste.

For the sake of business school,I push myself to the edge. Nearly fall but I will not let it happen.
God, please let me get in business school. Otherwise, I will collapse. NO JOKE.
I am too serious in it? Probably, but this is the only time I find something to worth fighting for.

This stands for Writing Tutorial Service but for me is What The S**t.

Essay 1 is due on this Wednesday and I have been working on it since last week.
I don't have one night good sleep ever since then.

Last week,
I was struggling with thesis statement. Sought for help at WTS. oh, brainstorm session. Okay, get the idea on how to start my essay. We discussed the structure of essay.
Then, met with my instructor and showed him my draft two days after. He told me that my structure was not focused. WTH. Another consulting session.
Wasted 2 days to write and I got to rewrite. Fine.
And last Friday, peer review session. Classmates gave me couple of constructive comments. Yes, thank you so much.
And today, went to WTS again. The tutor read through my essay and said:" I think you should write your essay in this structure."

GOD!
I am so so exhausted.
Can anyone tell me what to do? You guys are confusing me!

Stepped out the house and found that it was snowing.

Oh Yes, today would be a great day.

Went to class with a big wide smile on face and actively participated during the discussion.

Oh Yes, such a good day huh?

Done with the first class and headed to my theatre class. Aha! We watched The Muppets.

Oh Yes, what a funny video!

Survived in the second class and have a break at library before G202. Shot my English instruction an email to schedule an appointment.

Oh Yes, he is free tomorrow. Yup, gonna discuss bout the Essay 1 that have made me headache these few days. Till that moment, everything works well today.

Opened the bag to get my Planner.

????? Where is my planner?

Next thing I realized was, my English text book was missing too.

Oh, must be left them somewhere. They were last seen in Ballantine Hall 312, my English classroom.

*It's gonna be fine. No one will take it. Come on, this is IU. Get it after your class.*

Those were the thoughts came across my mind. And I naively believed it.

Rushed to BH 312 and found out that nothing at there. MY HEART SUNK.

There was the point I started to emo. Suppressed myself from being too emo. Tried to focus on other stuff but failed. Dang! Why careless? No bring brain and eyes to school kah?!

Delicious food soothes my mood.

As an usher, I g0t the chance to watch this play for free yesterday!

The whole play took bout 3 hours and I stuck in theater bout 5 hours.

Anyway, an adult content play.

Before I went for it, I have read the script from Net.

Hmm, there are some obscene shots as stated in Net.

I was thinking, perhaps the production will alter some parts.

Apparently, I was wrong.

Production did not change much of the original script.

I was sitting at second floor balcony and just got to see his ass.

Based on my record, he said erm... 46 times in 25 minutes.

Average is 1.84 times per minute, and there must have at least 1 erm in his sentence.

Now, you might scold me by saying,

Please show some respect to your Prof and pay attention during the class.

Oh fine. That is not just me doing this stupid counting activity. In fact, the student who was sitting in front of me started it. I just follow the trend. At least, I was listening to him but not facebooking or sleeping or reddit-ing.

He was there to substitute Prof Stone, my dear K201 lecture prof.

She went to Boston for a surgery and this Prof Erm was here today to replace her.

Great. Why don't just cancel the class as we can read for our own!

Anyway, today was my first time seeing him and my brain told me:

I don't like him.

Once he started the lecture, the dislikeness just went up.

WHY?

1. Read the slides.

Come on. I can read it too or even better than you!

2. Skipped those wordy slide and said,You can read it by your own.

Aha! Now you are choosy in picking which slide to read.

3. Show us suck video.

So he cut out an interesting video that Prof Stone initially wanted to show us and displayed another one which he thought is better for us.

There you go! Another Erm production. I was wondering if he knows her since both of them love Erm so much.

4. Mumbling

I shall say that Prof/Lecturer should not mumbling during class. How am I going to stay focus and know what you are talking bout? For most of the time, I can only hear the 2/3 of the sentence and the other 1/3 gone nowhere to be heard. Please Prof, it is a big big lecture hall for 300+ students.

Enough for 4 reasons. At last, he ended the class 10 mins earlier.

Aha! The only best thing he did.

Prof Erm..., just an honest advice from me.

Please enroll the class BUS-X 104 to work on your presentation skill. No lie. You really need it.

Act professionally is as important as dress professionally. =)

Going to class is my favorite hobby now.
Simply, I can learn so much in a class.
By sitting there for 1 hour, I can learn what is the latest trend or fashion nowadays. (girls're browsing fashion magazine.)
I know what's going on to the world. (dudes are reading newspaper.)
I know some cool websites. (thanks to those geek.)
I get to stalk people's Facebook and Twitter. (again, thanks to Fb addict)
I know which website is doing mega sales. (thanks to those online shopaholic.)
I can even hear something on the grapevine. (i am forced to be a listener.)

See, just a class, I can learn so many things.
There is no reason for me to skip class.

Last week, while I was on my way to bus station, a girl bumped into me and asked,
Hey, I'm Sam. Are you interested in studying bible? There is a bible study discussion session next Tuesday....

After bla bla and bla, I joined the group.
Joined Buddhist study group and Bible study group at the same time.
A friend asks me, "Why you join so many religion related club?"
Me,"Erm, no idea. I am interested in this kind of thing. Always wanted to know more bout God perhaps?"

There is no answer for it.
Just think that different religion has their own lessons. Wish to know more bout it.
Listen and absorb whatever is good for me.
That's my purpose.

I always wish to learn a music instrument.

All of them are not my type.
Would like to get something that is small enough to bring around.

The only music instrument I played before is Fipple flute.
I like it very much but mum was complaining that I made too much noise pollution.

and today, I saw this little cute thing which gets my music fire burns.

Bought it at College Mall. Doesn't cost much and I love it.
Aha! Since mummy is not around, I can play it whenever I want.

冬天忧郁症

早前听姑姑说，在加拿大，有很多人在冬天患上忧郁症。
那时，我还只是半信半疑，想着冬天的魔力这么大吗？

今天，看着白茫茫的一片，我懂了。
冬天真的有很忧郁的感觉。很无助。很无奈。也很无聊。
放眼望去，多姿多彩的世界不见了；取而代之的是一望无际的白地。
令人很泄气。（起码，我是这么觉得的。）

搞不懂为什么，这个冬天，人很烦躁。
理应上，人不是应该很冷静吗？（不懂耶！）
就我自己而言，人变得很神经质，很敏感，很容易发怒，也很容易感伤。
糟糕，不是吧？！我患上了冬天忧郁症？
不要可以吗？我没有多余的时间忧郁。
神啊！放过我吧！（或救救我吧！）

譬如，
我还是对那件事耿耿于怀。（详情请读前前篇）
甚至想起了不要再跟他说话的幼稚念头。
对，是很幼稚，也很无知。我也不想的。
无论如何，我还是在极力维持着平常心。

为什么？说不上。

Before today, I hate the econ subject.

Think that the real world is much more complicated than those graphs shown in text book.

Why should I waste my time in learning something useless?

I can't see how's the theory work in real life.

But today.

I meet this excellent Prof, who enlighten me.

For the first time in my life, I get the whole picture on how does the theory work in reality.

The statistic he pulled off, the policy he mentioned, the buying behavior he analysed.

Simply awesome.

Seriously, I fall in love with economics now.

Getting a good grade is not easy in Prof Self's class.

However, I will try my best.

Thanks to god, all my lecturers are awesome in certain ways.

I understand that no one is perfect in this world. Not me, not you.

So, I always choose to tolerate people around me.

However, there is a limit in my tolerance. Sorry, I'm not God.

It's not easy to make me angry. I mean really angry.

Sometimes, even though I'm scolding you but actually, I have forgiven you.

In my really angry stage, you won't have a chance to talk to me anymore.

Anyway, someone is challenging my tolerance recently.

I told myself to be patient. Try my best to understand him.

Yet, he is very disappointed.

For example, a case happened today.

I'm not blaming anyone who forgot to turn off the gas but just to find out who did it.

Well, texts were sent and I get no reply from the perpetrator.

I knew that was him from another person. Is that the way you solve problem,dude?

At night, I mentioned this during dinner time and he said," oh, I forgot to turn it off."

This happened on my way to Chemistry Hall.

There were two girls walked behind me. Both are Americans.

I guess they were practicing their debating skill along the way.

Thanks to their not-so-loud-but-enough-for-me-to-hear voice, I listened some parts of their conversation.

Let's just address them as A girl and B girl.

First part,

Subject being discussed: Chinese characters.

A said, " Why are there different sounds in Chinese words?"

B replies, " Well, maybe each tone brings different meaning?"

A continued," Really? I don't think so.I guess it serves no purpose."

Second part,

Subject being discussed: Merry-go-round.

A asked, "Hey, have you ever tried merry-go-round?"

B answered, "You mean the wheel spinning thingy?"

A explained, " No,not that one! Merry-go-round is the one with lil horses going around."

B argued, " No,we don't call it merry-go-round over my place."

A doubted, " What you guys called them?"

B clarified it by saying, " We called it as the thing goes around."

-conversation went nonsense till the conclusion achieved.-

At last, A made a conclusion.

"I'm gonna google it tonight and check it out. We shall see who is correct them."

These two girls made me wondered,

Today is the first day of Spring semester.
Honestly, I'm not very happy with it.
Previously, I tend to get very excited and look forward to a new semester.
This time, is a different story.

The beginning of my semester seem sucks when I get to know that I have registered for wrong class.
Next, when I realized that the textbook for my Macroeconomics class costs me $143.
Then, piles of assignment are threw at me on the very first day of class.

All of these just make me upset.
I got beaten up further when the textbook expenses calculation was done.
spend almost 450 bucks in this semester.

Went for the game today.

IU vs Northwestern.

The score was 61:64 when time left 31 seconds.

unfortunately, IU team kept making mistake which contributed to many foul shots by Northwestern.

Basketball and badminton were my sports for the past three weeks.

Chinese Placement Test

Venue: Ballantine Hall
Time: 2-4pm.
Format: either Written or Speaking Test.

Due to my disappointing credit transfer, I got to take this test in order to graduate on time.
1.30pm,
Arrived Ballantine Hall and saw many people have queued up.
2.00pm,
The whole corridor was full with students especially from China.
Why they got to take it as well? Because they have no confidence in learning other language or maybe get it waived will be very convenient for them.
2.10pm,
Everyone was distributed one paper to fill in their personal information. Also, students have the choice to choose not to take written test. Okay, I guess with my level, speaking test is sufficient.
2.15pm,
OMG, interview one by one?

Look at the people! I was standing at the awkward U-turn point and wait for my turn.

2.45pm,

still waiting and for no reason, students get very excited.

3.30pm,

I have played at least 20 levels of UNBLOCK ME. Gosh, when is my turn?

4.20pm,

Finally, it was my turn. Below conversation was in Chinese.

Interviewer (I): Hey, How are you? Please be seated.

Me (M): Thanks. Nice to meet you. *handed her my paper*

I : May I know your name? How to write it?

M : Zhang Xin Hui....*explained in chinese words*

I: Good. where are you from?

M: Malaysia.

I: Where do you learn Chinese?

M: I studied in Chinese primary school but get in national school after that.

I : Do your parents who Chinese?

M: of course, we speak Mandarin at home. They are Chinese.

I: *look surprised* Thank you. You may now leave.

M: *look confused,that's it?* Thank you. Have a great day.

swt.the whole process only took about 5 mins and I have waited for 2.5h for that 5 mins conversation.

She was pretty when she won those beauty-queen-or-model-title.
Now, after plastic surgery, she gets prettier and happier.

Well, plastic surgery is totally fine for me if it makes you happier and for good faith.

sorry, don't talk to me.

I have been watching City Hunter for more than 1 month.
Somehow, I just lost the interest in watching it.
oh yeah, the story line is superb.

back to point, watching drama is seriously not my style.

I can read a book for one day but not watch a drama for one day.

A "CUTE" Guy

I was waiting for bus in front of the library and this guy was just beside me.

The weather was so freaking cold till I could not talk or move much.

But, this guy was different.He is a strong,tough guy!

He was on call when I arrived. He was still on call when I went into library.

After 15 minutes, I was back to bus stop again and found that he was there, still on call.

As just now, keep talking and complaining with his loudy voice.

What takes a guy or be specific, a China guy to complain so much?

The answer is,

His Accounting Exam.

I have no idea whether he flunked the exam or not. All I know was,
the exam was super duper tough. 30% of calculation and 70% of theory questions. He could not do the theory part but confident with calculation. The professor is bias, unprofessional and evil. (according to him) How can an accounting exam has more theory question than calculation? He did not sleep well for few days just because of this exam. Even woke up at 4am to revise the materials on the test day. He dissatisfied with the exam system. Planned to talk with professor.....

These are the basic contents of his call. of course, I censor those PG 18 words.

Finally, the call ends. He picked up the bag beside his leg and walked into library.

Conclusion from me:

He is way too CUTE! and make me speechless too.
Fine, I can't understand guys.

My parents are worrying bout me.

If you know me well enough, you know I don't touch coffee.
For most of you, coffee is lifesaver. keep you awake so that you can get your things done.
For me, coffee is sleeping pill. make me dizzy and sleepy.

caffeine allergy.
high content of caffeine causes me diarrhea.
low content of caffeine causes me feel sick.

That day, my housemate was saying that the coffee in US might different from Malaysia and I should give it a try.
Yesterday, I wanted to get myself a hot choc but the server took my order wrongly.
Fine, new experience. I took it and started to drink.
drank drank and drank.
With 2/3 cup left, I threw it away. Couldn't take it anymore because the disaster started.
Feel uneasy throughout the lecture. Blur all the time. Lost appetite.
Screw it, latte. I will never touch any caffeine stuff. It ruined my day.

have a late night chat with mum and sis yesterday.
as usual, my sis was talking craps and nonsense and lame joke.
as usual, I was complaining and sharing stories with them.

then, we talked about 11/11 which is Single's Day or Bachelor's Day or One's Day you would prefer.
my house is going to have a small party to celebrate it.
not really celebrate. just a gathering with friends i guess.

and then, my mum popped out this line : Do you know that your expiry date is near?
I was like: huh? I don't have license and my passport is still active. What's the expiry for?
She answered: Girls get expired when they are around 25.
my sis and I glanced at each other and knew the old story starts again.

OMG. I seriously don understand why my mum worries so much.
She was trying to illustrate how my future life will be if I stay single.

He is the one brings me out from hatred.
He is the one enlighten me.
He is the one untie my knot.

Before that, I thought that most Americans are cocky and have stereotype toward Asians.
At least, my team makes me feel that.
They will politely ask your opinion yet your ideas will not take into account.
Just like when they ask: How are you?
No one will care about your ideas.

After listened to Prof's lecture, I am now truly understand why is this so.

go to School of Optometry for an eye examination this morning.
That's one of my graduate friends' project.
and i am the subject.

the test is pretty easy. Just that you have to open your eyes big and BIG!
got to enlarge your pupil so that the instrument can scan your spectrum or whatsoever.
and then,
I face a problem.

My friend keeps asking me to open my eyes wide.
Well, sorry friend.my eyes are small.
she said : No, your eyelashes are blocking the light to scan through your eye. So, you must open eyes wide to let the light in.

What a nice friend i have!

As expected, colder than summer but from 23'C to 8'C is a bit over for me.

sweater? hoodies? scarf? jeans? sport shoes?

what about dressing in winter clothes?
oh no, people will laugh at you because it is only early fall.

INPIRG - textbook rebellion petition

I am the member of INPIRG and also a volunteer in the textbook rebellion petition.
Objective : Reduce the textbooks' price (company).
Job description : walking around campus (under18'C) and ask people to sign up for petition.

I can't see any reason why you should not support this petition.
of course, unless you find that money is not a concern to you.
in one hour, i successfully get 24 signs which is pretty good i guess.
even though, that's just a small number, i believe the small petite power will turn into big force one day!

back in Malaysia, I was a lazy bum who will try my best to avoid getting in kitchen.

when my mum shouted my name and asked for help, i answered :

fattycow/yeiyei (sisters' name) is coming, hold on!

then said to my sisters that mummy was calling them.

so, i don't know how to cook and it is fine to me.

the only thing can make my step into kitchen is BAKING!

but here in United States, kitchen is the place i visit frequently. almost everyday.

my position is not a cook at first.

then... (long story behind it) and i become the cook for in this house.

how's my cooking? i bet is pretty good as all my housemates are happy and healthy.

=) as long as they are happy, i don mind being a cooking machine.
